I don't want to get mixed up in this conversation you guys have, but since it's public (its the internet you know) I did read it and I wanted to say my thing about it.
I always have a few questions that I would like to ask a real Christian, I mean really someone who cares for his religion and knows much about it. Just questions, nothing offensive, I just want to know how they explain it.
- Christians always say: It's written so it's true. If I write down on a piece of paper: "God doesn't exists", does that make it true? (my point being: Who wrote the bible?)
- How do you know your faith is the only right one? (since other religions say exactly the same thing)
- Has anybody (that has not been made up by someone) ever seen God?
By the way I think I'm a sinner now, for questioning and doubting Him, but I'm just in a dillemma of what to believe (well not really, I've already decided religion is indeed a fairy-tale made up by people to let children do the things they want them to do, and made up by people to make other people 'behave' (which is certainly not a bad thing))
It's much like the string-theory (which you've probably never heard of, since Christians don't spend much time studying other religions (in this case, mine: science)) .. it claims to be an explanation for everything, but in fact it's just made up by someone who answers each question with: Well it could be this-and-that (and then makes something else up).
